hold up wait a minute, let's go back a bit...
It all started back in 2021. I was 25, burnt out, stuck in a corporate job that drained the hell out of me… yeah, you can probably guess how this story goes.
I got tired of the office politics, the endless “fix the system” grind, and feeling like no matter how hard I tried, nothing really changed. I’d always been curious about Web Design and how it all comes together, so one day I thought… why not? Let’s see where this takes me.
And here I am, making websites that actually feel good, flow effortlessly, and match the vibes of the people behind them.
I dove straight into full-time work as a Virtual Assistant in 2021 where I met some incredible business women and landed my first client. Life was looking up. I was attending seminars, having meetings with business women in Africa, Canada, USA, helping Designers test processes for their businesses.... and so on.
Until 2022 hit and I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Everything had stopped. Work, plans, normal life and I had to focus on treatment. After 4 weeks of intensive testing and 6 months of chemo and radiation, I got the all-clear in 2023.
2024 had me thriving in remission, and my outlook on life had completely shifted. During that time I went on a spiritual journey- inner child work, shadow work, surrounding myself with like-minded souls, and creating a healthier lifestyle for my mind and body.
Through it all, I realised just how important holistic health and wellbeing really are. That experience sparked my love for healing - from the inside out.
And that’s how Unalome came to be. The name represents the journey to enlightenment: the spiral at the start shows life beginning, the twists and turns reflect the ups, downs, and detours, the straight line marks the moment of clarity and alignment, and the dot at the top symbolizes freedom and enlightenment.
Nowadays, you’ll catch me hitting the beach, wandering through nature, and never forgetting snacks for the adventure. In between all that, I’m helping passion led creatives bring their ideas to life online—designing websites that feel effortless, authentic, and true to them.
